Hattyman: Nasir Mazhar S/S 2010.

'Gangsta's, Pimps, Gimpas and Ho's', Nasir's collection for Spring/Summer 2010, features influences from Jamacian Yardie-girl fashion and American Pimp/rap/gang culture with leopard prints and neon pinks, styled with high-cut swimsuits, hooker underwear, long nails, stripper heels and 'Tupac' boys in baggy boxers and typical Mazhar get-ups.

I met Nasir back in the day at Kashpoint when it was on the Taverstock Castle on the Thames Embankment. He was a smiley, weed smoking, tracksuit wearing chavvy boy (not much has changed ♥) from East London, training at Vidal Sasson to become hairdresser. I never new he would end up a milliner making some of the most unique and AMAZING headgear! He is one of my favourite designers and I love everything he creates. As a young designer, he is totally on his way to steal the crowns of legendary milliners Phillip Treacy and Stephen Jones.
